Reducing Wind Noise: How Do They do it

According to the Marketrak survey, a massive survey of hearing aid users undertaken in the US, wind noise is listed as the “second worst listening situation” for hearing aid users. Wind noise is in fact the turbulence created by wind moving past the hearing aid’s microphone. It can make it very difficult to hear the sound that you want to hear and it can be downright annoying even if there is no speech. To solve this problem, Widex created a weather cover which sits over the microphones of their behind-the-ear hearing aids which reduced wind noise quite a lot. However, they didn't think it was enough, so with UNIQUE, Widex’ newest hearing aids, wind protection is taken to the next level.
